Speech training | your voice is who you are
Do you have to speak in front of an audience, but you experience stage fright? Would you like to learn how to enunciate, or how to profile yourself vigorously through your voice? Are you speaking all day at work and is your voice tired out afterwards? If you want to communicate with more decisiveness and expressiveness, you can improve your voice with a speech coach.
A good voice instils confidence, can be convincing and shows empathy. However, communication is all about the big picture: posture, breathing, thoughts and emotions. All of those affect how your voice sounds, the impression you make and thereby how you are being understood. This all contributes to the effectiveness of your message.

“Laura is a great professional, empathetic and encouraging. The sessions provided me with a nice overview of the techniques that I can use to become a better and more engaging communicator and were a good balance of theory and practice. Also, Laura helped greatly in assessing where I can improve most and supported me with additional materials on leadership and assertiveness for women. I would definitely recommend this coaching to someone who wants to become aware of what the possibilities are with their voice.“

“I very much enjoyed personal voice coaching course with Laura. Being a teacher in secondary education, I wanted to have more control over my voice and body posture. In a few sessions, we have reached my goals successfully. As far as I am concerned, voice coaching should be an integral part of every teacher training course. I have gained very valuable insights!“
“I’ve experienced Laura ‘s voice coaching as very positive. Thanks to the combination of personal attention, exercises and structure, we have been able to reach the goals I wanted to achieve. Definitely recommended!”
“I wanted to develop more confidence in my voice (partly for work presentations) and also a stronger sense of ‘control’ and ownership over how I sound. Laura was very sympathetic and understanding in terms of the broader relationship between myself and my voice. We did a number of exercises on pitch, volume, resonance and tone and I took these home as ‘homework’ to practice. At the end I feel more confident about my voice, also because the work has dispelled some myths and helped me like my voice more. Overall, I had a good experience and I expect the lessons will be very useful for a long time yet in both work and personal settings.“

“Excellent advice, thorough information, clear exercises. Laura is a voice coach with a pleasant presence, and a lively manner. The focus on work related voice use is exactly what I needed. Being an independent designer, having to talk regularly with exasperating clients (and very nice ones as well, but that’s easy). Clearly, Laura has experience using her own voice in a business environment, and can relate to what people like me need.”
“I learned that if you speak from the heart rather than from the head, your message will have more impact on the recipient. This is very helpful for me, personally as well as professionally!”

“Laura was encouraging and challenging at the same time, helping me to gradually make changes. Each session had a specific topic and taylor-made excercises to focus on specific areas for improvement. Also shared basic toolbox to practice with her or on my own. I could see the difference after a couple of months. However, self-awareness is the key to remember what was learnt and keep improving!”
